- What qualifies as a minority business?
A business that is 51% owned by one of the following groups:
- African-American
- Asian-American
- Hispanic-American
- Native-American
- Woman-Owned
- What criteria do you use when soliciting a vendor?
The criteria we use to solicit a minority vendor are the same used to select a majority vendor. The vendor must have the ability to offer a product/service that is high quality, competitively priced and excellent customer service.
- Is certification required to do business with Zoo Atlanta?
Yes. Zoo Atlanta accepts certifications from organizations such as:
Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (GMSDC)
City of Atlanta Minority/Female Business Certification
Fulton County M/FBE Business Certification
Small Business Administration
Women’s Business Enterprise National Council
Atlanta Business League
Or other reputable national, state and local agencies.
- Does certification guarantee that I will obtain contracts with Zoo Atlanta?
No. Certification does not guarantee that your company will obtain business with Zoo Atlanta.
