Reports to: VP of Marketing
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Purpose: The Brand Manager is responsible for developing the annual marketing plan, managing the advertising agency, identifying growth opportunities and creating actionable plans to maximize admission revenue. Additional responsibilities include assisting the Vice President of Marketing & Sales in various projects that will include, but not limited to, market analysis, consumer segmentation, strategic planning, primary/secondary research and strategic partnerships.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to achieve annual attendance and admission revenue goals
- Identify, obtain and summarize strategically significant secondary research reports and trends that pertain to Zoo Atlanta’s target market (Moms with kids age 12 and under)
- Explore and secure strategic partnership opportunities
- Develop the annual promotional and discount strategies for Zoo Atlanta
- Ensure that all paid media objectives are met within the allocated budget
- Primary liaison between VP of Marketing and Zoo Atlanta’s advertising and promotional agencies
- Assist with the execution of primary research studies
- Create and maintain an annual benchmarking report of Atlanta cultural institutions
- Communicate and enforce brand guidelines to all internal and external partners
- Assist the VP of Marketing in various special projects as needed
- Must be willing to support Zoo Atlanta’s Vision, Mission and Values statement
- Any other miscellaneous projects/assignment assigned by Zoo Atlanta’s Marketing Management team.
Qualifications:
- Master in Business Administration or Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Advertising
- Must have 2-3 years of Brand Management, Marketing or Advertising experience
- Consumer package goods or cultural/family attraction experience preferred, but not required
- Must have strong analytical, organizational, verbal, written and leadership skills
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook programs
- Must have ability to work evenings and possibly 2 weekends per month
- Zoo Atlanta is open to the public 363 days out of the year, therefore, all positions at Zoo Atlanta may require employees to work some weekends, holidays and evenings.
